Fluoridation is the greatest case of scientific fraud of this
century, if not of all time. Dr Robert Carton, formerly US
Environmental Protection Agency
Book
Summary: Fluoride is more toxic than lead and only slightly less toxic than
arsenic. Yet it is routinely added to the drinking water of five million people
in Britain and more than two and a half million people in Ireland. They are
given no choice.
This mass
medication is justified for reasons of dental health but there is no scientific
evidence to prove the benefits of fluoride. Indeed all the evidence points
incontrovertibly to the harm caused by fluoride to human, plant and animal
life.
Fluoridation has been abandoned or is banned throughout continental
Europe, China and Japan. Nevertheless governments and health authorities in
Britain, Ireland and elsewhere are determined to pursue a policy of mass
fluoridation, using arguments that are based on flimsy scientific evidence and
ignoring increasing public concern.
In this
carefully researched and persuasively written book, Barry Groves has assembled
an impressive body of evidence and opinion from throughout the world showing
that the case for fluoridation of water is based on poor science and dogmatic
ignorance rather than on any scientifically proven benefit to public health.
His conclusions are truly alarming for everyone concerned with their own
health, that of their families and of society in general.
About the
Author: BARRY GROVES - Now residing in Oxfordshire, England, after 27 years
as an electronic engineer in the Royal Air Force, Barry Groves has been looking
into the connection between modern diets and modern diseases, a subject about
which he has written two valuable books. In the present book he has turned his
attention to the seemingly never-ending discussion of the pros and cons of
water fluoridation. His central theme is the disturbing contradiction of
classifying industrial silicofluoride by-products as too hazardous to release
into the air, rivers, or lakes but calling them safe and beneficial when they
are metered into municipal drinking water, where their intake is unregulated
and often excessively high and toxic. Another concern is the fact that most
dentists and other health professionals are generally taught that the
recommended uses of fluoride are safe and effective, even though their own
journals often report otherwise. |
