Bleaching

Our office has the ability to whiten most teeth utilizing one of two of the following methods.

• Dynamic Power Bleaching - This dynamic power bleaching process is an in office procedure. This process, for most people, usually is accomplished in just one office visit. Once the selected teeth are isolated. A powerful bleaching agent is placed on the teeth. A computerized light is applied. During the process, oxygen which bleaches the teeth is released. This immediately lightens most teeth.
• At Home Bleaching - At home bleaching is entirely a different procedure. It is effectively completed while you sleep. A chemical gel preparation containing carbamide peroxide is placed on the teeth in a special tray. During a diagnostic visit impressions of the upper and lower teeth are taken. This allows for the creation of custom gel holding appliances called bleaching trays. On the second visit, these trays will be fitted and you will be given a special bleaching gel and detailed instructions on how to administer it and how frequently to insert your trays. Follow the directions carefully and continue to maintain proper oral hygiene through brushing and flossing. Generally optimum results will be obtained in about two weeks after following the specified procedure.
