DeFelice Family Dentistry uses a bio-feedback technique called
Muscle Response Testing (MRT) to identify a person’s
nutritional deficiencies, toxicity impacts, spinal subluxations, dental
alignments and balances. Nutritional deficiencies and cumulative toxin impacts
are primary causative factors underlying illness and degenerative disease.
Spinal subluxations (corrected via
chiropractic care), dental misalignments and imbalances
interfere with the human body's
bio-energy communications system and often need correction
for optimal organ, gland and nervous system function. Also known as
Applied Kinesiology, MRT is based upon the physics of the
human body.
The
optimal functioning of the human body requires that each part is contributing
effectively to the whole. If any part is not producing the optimum
bio electric energy,
bio-energy or
life-force levels, the body will not nor can it operate
efficiently. This disruption or imbalance is the primary genesis of
illness.
Knowing
how to measure and correct the factors that influence this bio-electric energy
production of each part of the body is a key to helping it maintain or regain
health.
Evaluating and Measuring Bio-Electric Energy: As stated above,
every part of the body generates bio-electric energy through the Autonomic
Nervous System. This includes all human organs and glands such as the heart,
lungs, liver, colon, thyroid, pancreas, etc. Even specific nutrient stores and
toxic stressors stored in the system generate their own bio-electric energy,
since they too, are made of atoms.
Researchers, especially those on the fields of
acupuncture and
electro-dermal screening (the use of computer technology
to measure bio-electric energy), have identified points on the body that
correspond to each organ, each nutrient store, and each specific category of
stored toxin. By using MRT to test these various points, important data can be
gathered about the body’s needs and challenges.
In short,
MRT testing process is simple and involves using the body as its own battery
tester. In a carefully controlled situation, an arm muscle is used to indicate
via general strength or weakness which nutrients (vitamins and minerals, etc.,)
are bio-compatible with your body type and identify those that may be needed.
MRT uses the compared muscle strength to determine the answer.
